Our Ministry
Bay Handicappers believe that we do nothing to or for the residents of a nursing
home but instead with them. In our services, we plan sharing time around prayer, music, Bible teaching, special readings, and fun time. Services are structured but not etched in stone, so as to minister to needs as they arise.

Residents experience a freedom of expression in worship. The function of Handicappers is to assist these residents in a “Share & Prayer” service.

Our team of volunteers visit three nursing homes each month to share and express
the love of Jesus Christ. The nursing homes we visit are: Huron Woods, Carriage House and Bay Shores.

All residents are welcomed; the disoriented, the comatose, the behavioral problem, the coherent and/or incoherent. In other words, “Whosoever will, may come.”  With the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ, we stand on the promise of Matthew 25:31-40,
and our motto is…”Even the least of them.” God does not make waste material. Each of His children are of great value.
