The Bridge Youth Group
"Bridging the Gap Between the Lost and the Lord"
About us:
God has and always will guide and direct everything we do in our youth group. I strongly believe prayer unites and it will continue to be one of our main focuses. I long to see teens live by a holy standard. I want to see teens that can be the same in youth group and in church as well as in the world. I strive to build a solid foundation so that Godly men and women will be developed in part because of the foundation that was built in youth group. The fall away rate for a teen that has grown up in youth group and leaves home to enter college or the workforce is over 90%. Over 90%. Something is wrong. There is a lack of truth in the hearts of teens. There is lack of a solid foundation. There is lack of fruit. There is lack of a holy standard. There is lack of obedience. My vision is to plant seeds of truth that builds a strong foundation in teens lives. The same Holy Spirit is available to teens as much as anyone else and I can rejoice knowing God is ready and willing to change hearts and grant eternal life and give faith, hope, and love to anyone who draws near to Him and gives their heart to the One who created them. Our youth have responded to the truth and have caught fire. I long to see more and more teens grow spiritually in their walk with the Lord.
Meetings:
We meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm We also have Bible Studies on the second Friday of each month at 5:00pm.
What to Expect:
You can expect to experience the truth of God and the love of your peers. We are very focused and intentional about giving God complete glory and honor in our meetings. We have worship, teaching, and prayer in most of our meetings. Sometimes we split up into small groups and have services just with youth in your same age group and gender. Our motivation is for you to build a solid foundation in your relationship with the Lord!
Some Events We Attend:
- Twice per year we have a retreat at our Higgins Lake Retreat Center.
- We are involved in volunteering at Youth Haven RanchWe have monthly guys/girls nights.
- We attend Christian Concerts and Conferences.
- We attend a Christian Skate Night once per month
- We do several volunteer projects in the community, including Habitat for Humanity.
